If you are based in the UK, you may like to know I am teaching a full-day class on silk ribbon embroidery with the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court this Saturday (10th Feb). The class is intended for beginners and will feature essential stitches with fine 2mm and 4mm-wide hand-dyed ribbons, all that on a hand-painted background. There are still a couple of spaces left, so, if you are interested, a place can be reserved on the RSN website:
Introduction to Ribbonwork: ‘Spring Flowers’
If you are interested in embroidery in general, the Royal School of Needlework are organising the first USA Summer School in July this year in Lexington, Kentucky. I am also taking part in the programme, although not with ribbons this time. There are some high-profile tutors on the menu, so if this is something you find interesting, I would suggest taking a look at the Summer School page on the RSN website: Book your Place on USA Summer School
This is all the news so far, hope to speak to you again soon.
